I am a historian, with a doctorate in early modern British history (AHRC funded, 2010), a postgraduate teaching qualification (2016) and a rich portfolio of experience in the private sector, as well as in higher education. I have taught and supported hundreds of undergraduates and postgraduates.
I have done public engagement and outreach work in the community, as well as with the media. As of 2020, I am working freelance in the archives and heritage sector. I am a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society; a fellow of Advance HE; and a member of the City Archivists' Group, the Oral History Society and the Historical Association.
